I've started peas in cell paks as I always do to get a jump on the season. We like Super Sugar Snap peas the best. You don't have to shell them, which gives you much more good tasting crunch and saves a lot of time. Super Sugars are earlier than the regular Sugar Snap peas, not quite as tall so they don't get blown off the fence as easily in a wind storm, bigger and less prone to mildew.

I got a powerful hunger for spring greens, folks.Yesterday was greens day. I planted several lettuces, mustard, arugula and kale. Pak choy and other oriental greens will follow shortly. They're a bit more sensitive to spring frosts, and will bolt if the temps are too cold. Here are a couple of pictures of some of my collages. I decorate a lot of plain paper with combed and stippled paste (cornstarch and water cooked on the stove with acrylic paints added), watercolor, fabric paint. I use mica chips, string and silk threads, bits of abolone shell. I like to use metallic paints, then crinkle the paper for added texture.
